Will the Bush White House Approve the Bagdad Metro?

The most recent city to announce a subway project, in January 2003, is none other than Baghdad! english.pravda.ru/world/2003/01/27/42583.html

This project has been reported as "under construction" previously. A map, dated 2000, is on the website of Japanese transportation scholar Osamu Abe osamuabe.infoseek.livedoor.com/subway/mappage/constmap/baghdad.jpg.

One thing that we Opinionated Ones wonder is once those Boys From Texas gain control of Iraq, will they continue the planning and construction of the Bagdad Metro, or will they defer to their highway lobby buddies and convert the project into an underground busway, complete with used tunnel buses from Seattle?
